I followed the thread about this problem from the last year postings. I have used Thunderbird (or its predecessor) since 1992 and have been able to maintain using it as a pop mail option. The pop-up login page does it again and again if you click it away and it still does not allow me to download (get) messages. The version that Thunderbird recently updated to is 91.8.0. I have never had this issue before and never use google email accounts on Thunderbird.
